It seems this is our season for tiny house elements compiling. We seem to be doing a lot of ordering and purchasing these past few weeks. When we put in the order for our Andersen windows, we also went ahead and placed the order through Lowe’s for our Fakro skylight/roof window. And it already arrived last week (we’ve got much longer to wait for the rest of our windows). So, we headed to our local Lowe’s store over the weekend and brought that bad boy home.
Although nowhere near the heart-swelling capabilities of the Sardine, this roof window is way up there on the “what Tracy is most excited about in the tiny house” list.
The roof window (called this versus a skylight because it fully opens) will go in the roof over our sleeping loft for perfect in-bed stargazing! Oh-hell-YEAH! And, as it opens fully, it will also allow us to climb out it to access the roof. Double-hell-yeah! I’ve loved hanging out on rooftops since I was growing up and my second story bedroom windows opened directly on to a first story section of our home’s roof. I spent many an hour out there sunrise, sunset, star, and moon gazing. I am definitely looking forward to being able to chill on my roof again.
But, enough with the words, share the photos!:
