Our trailer is now street legal!  Okay, honesty at the forefront, this happened a few months ago, but I kept getting distracted from posting about it.  But, back to our trailer now being ready for the road.  After a couple runs of misinformation and false instructions from the DMV, Eli was able to complete the process of registering our trailer (I’m sure this won’t be the last time we create confusion at the DMV).  The trailer had to go in to the DMV for a once over and check up, but is now officially registered as a utility trailer.  Once we’ve “modified” the trailer (by attaching a house to it!), we will need to re-register it – it will be a unique experience seeing how the DMV handles that round.  🙂
