The day has finally come! The Sardine woodstove has ARRIVED!!! I’ve been eagerly anticipating this since we ordered it last year. It took a bit longer for it to get made and sent to us than originally estimated, but a handcrafted cast iron woodstove expertly constructed takes some time, especially when demand is high for the craftsman’s products. I’ve been so excited to finally see the Sardine “in the flesh”. And, is it every bit as cute as I was hoping. We’ll need to apply stove polish, which will blacken it up. And, we still have to order the exact chimney configuration and order the chimney parts. And, of course, we still need to finish the house! But, oh, I am so already looking forward to our first fire with this little guy nestled into a corner of our house.
OMG! It is soooo tiny. Your wood pile will be almost as adorable as your stove!
